Stockholm Arlanda Airport is the main international airport located 40 km north of the city center.

- From the airport terminal, follow signs to “Flygbussarna/Airport Coaches”. The bus stop is a 5-10 minute walk. The airport buses bring you to Stockholm Central Station, or to other central locations, please make sure that you take the right bus.
- Buy your ticket either from the ticket machines (cash or card) or via an app- The ticket costs approximately 130 SEK each way
- You can also take bus #571, #572 or #573 to Märsta station then transfer to the subway (T-bana) green or red lines into Stockholm. Total journey is 45-60 minutes and costs around 100 SEK each way. Buses run every 10-15 minutes.

Taxi
You can of course also go to the city center by taxi, but please be aware that some taxi companies are far more expensive than others, trying to take advantage of their customers, and then in particular visitors to Stockholm unaware of this questionable practice.
- Airport taxis are available just outside the terminal areas. Expect to pay 700-900 SEK for the 30-40 minute trip into central Stockholm depending on traffic and time of day.
- Be aware that some taxis may charge much higher rates if demand is high. Only take taxis from the official taxi stands to avoid inflated “surge pricing”. If you are not sure about the price that is proposed, please talk to the official taxi guides at the airport.
- Taxis can be a convenient option, but public transport tends to be more affordable and reliable for getting into the city center.
